PROJECTS
Here's a sampling of projects I worked on
Improve your public speaking skills by getting instant feedback when you talk into your computer's microphone. Gathers data from speech-to-text for filler words, volume and pitch data.
Own project, built in JavaScript. Creds to Jackie Xu for design & frontpage
Parcupine - People Powered Parking
Use mobile technology to replace hardware meters for monitoring demand and usage. Reduce congestion in high-demand areas by adjust street parking pricing and encouraging shifts of commuter behavior during low-availability times.
Cities do not need to deploy expensive, in-ground sensors and can reduce enfocement labor by using violation likelihood heuristics.
I worked on the iOS application as an undergraduate researcher at MIT.
A mobile navigation application guides users by projecting directions onto physical spaces with a light, both indoors and outdoors.
Guiding Light uses accelerometer, proximity senseor, magnetometer/e-compass and physical tags to locate a user in various environments.
I built specialized hardware running on embedded systems in C++, collected data, and built an Android application.
MIT Media Lab, Speech and Mobility Group - Chris Schmandt, Jaewoo Chung, Ig-Jae Kim, Kuang Xu
